Betsy Gray

I began my Pilates practice with mat classes in 2007. A couple of years later, my Pilates instructor told me I would make a good Pilates teacher. Dissatisfied with my current employment, I decided to change career paths and pursue teacher training. The strength and better body alignment I have gained through Pilates has been very empowering and I want to share this feeling of empowerment with my clients. When not practicing Pilates, my husband and I are enjoying our sailboat and spending time with our family.

Karin Halsted

Karin Halsted was born and raised in Vienna, Austria and currently lives in Exeter with her husband Henry. From an early age she was a competive middle distance runner and later on she found passion in cross country skiing. Trained as an electronics engineer, she followed that profession for a number of years before taking an extended leave to travel the world. In Australia she discovered sailing, got a job on a yacht and pursued a career as professional sailing yacht crew for the next decade. She has sailed all oceans of the World and has crossed the Atlantic 14 times.

She came ashore in 2007 and studied to become a #Reiki Master. She took up Pilates because she found it effective and challenging with its many variations. In 2007/8 and 2012 she was trained by Jen McWalters to become a Pilates teacher and she enjoys teaching all levels of students. Karin brings a lot of energy and enjoyment to her teaching, believing that Pilates should never be hard labor, but a fun way to create positive change in your body through a series of challenging and creative exercises.
